




How do you put the community at the heart of a football club?
Bristol City FC – brand positioning and identity
Bristol City Community Trust is the newly launched charity of Bristol City Football Club that is dedicated to supporting health, education and football in the community programmes in the Bristol region and surrounding areas.
BCCT brings a wide range of stakeholders together; businesses, schools, local government and of course people from the community. The Trust provides an important programme of local initiatives that are designed to provide education, healthy living, football activities and a brighter outlook for thousands of 7 – 16 year olds in the region every year.
Mr B & Friends were asked to develop a brand positioning and identity for BCCT. ‘Play your part’ unites the Club, the Community and local enterprise and the identity demonstrates the togetherness of the community through football.
The new brand has been selected to feature on Bristol City’s away kit for the 2011/12 season – a first for any professional football club in the league, and this sponsorship is designed to raise awareness of the Trust, and the good work it does.
