We’re thrilled to announce that there have been some exciting changes going on at Mr B & Friends recently. Our uber-talented creative team has been developing and we’re excited to reveal our strong new line-up.

Throwing out the tired perception of advertising being the domain of Old Spice wearing Don Draper wannabes, we’ve appointed some strong-minded, capable women to take leading roles in our creative department.

Firstly, Kate Gorringe has moved up to the role of Creative Director. Since joining us last March as Design Director, Kate has put her stamp on the agency. With over 20 years of experience in London based design and advertising agencies, Kate has worked on branding and marketing communication projects for around 30% of the FTSE 100.

Kate’s strength lies in conceptual thinking grounded in commercial good sense. She devises brand identities and integrated campaigns that work hard across every media. Kate has an enviable list of past and current clients including Lloyds TSB, JustGiving, AXA, Principality, Siniat and Sainsbury’s.

As Creative Director, Kate will be leading and mentoring the creative team. Says Kate ‘What was really palpable when I joined Mr B & Friends was the huge sense of energy and ambition throughout the company. The creative team really want to show they are the best around, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll do in the next year. ‘

Filling Kate’s shoes as Design Director is Sheena Mistry, our longest standing staff member. Sheena has been a vital cog in our creative machine since she walked through our doors over 6 years ago. Sheena has fine-tuned her brand identity skills by taking the lead on a number of high profile rebrands, including Suffolk Life, TrekAmerica, Greenergy, Bristol City Community Trust, UK Active and Fourpure Brewing Co. ‘Having learnt from the very best, I’m thrilled to be stepping up as Design Director, working closely with Kate and the rest of the team to create even more kick-ass creative!’

Lastly, agency partner Steve Richardson, will be stepping up to the role of Executive Creative Director. Ok, so he’s not a girl, but he does do a fantastic rendition of Chaka Khan’s ‘I’m every woman’. Steve will be helping steer the creative and strategic direction for us, as well as our clients, whilst making sure our creative output continues to hit the sweet spot.

Steve says ‘I’m fantastically excited for our entire team. Everyone plays a huge part, and we have a great ethos across the company. I do have to single out these two though – huge congratulations go to Kate and Sheena for another step up in their stellar careers.’

This marks an exciting new era for Mr B & Friends and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings. But for now, we’re all off to the pub to celebrate.
