The event, hosted at the new office in Temple Quay, was attended by business leaders and marketing professionals from across the UK. As well as a number of current clients, senior attendees from the top companies in the South West joined the business networking evening to cement the agency’s relocation.
Mr B & Friends, which was set up in 2006 in Bath, is now nearly 50 people strong and has chalked up impressive projects across a range of sectors from financial services to tech to sport and leisure. Recent projects have included a contemporary rebrand and website for leading consulting engineers Hoare Lea, a brand identity for music venue St Georges and the launch of an Etex building product into space!
Following an engaging whistlestop introduction to the company by Founder and CEO, Simon Barbato and Executive Creative Director, Steve Richardson, the keynote speech was delivered by Katrina Dodd, Head of Trends at global consultancy Contagious. Titled ‘The Ten Commandments- 10 steps to brand bravery’, the talk examined daring and inspiring campaigns from a variety of channels and regions, rallying businesses to embrace creativity to maintain competitive advantage.
Simon Barbato said: “This event was a great chance for us to really celebrate the next stage in our story. Bath served us well over the last decade but having grown substantially in size and ambition it was time to move on. Our company mantra is ‘Where Next?’ and for us that crucial step was to move to Bristol. The city is rapidly becoming the leading tech and creative hub in the UK outside of London and our new office is in a thriving commercial location.”
Steve Richardson said: “We’re delighted that our evening was so well attended. It was a great opportunity for us to welcome some old friends and clients to our new base, and to meet some new friends too. With three significant projects wins already since arriving in Bristol and exciting new appointments to our team, 2018 looks to be our best year yet.”
