2021 wrapped up!

2021 wrapped up!

What a year! Kicked off by yet another lockdown, and a delightfully prolonged bout of homeschooling for the parents amongst us, our creative agency finally shared a stint of normality… Right before Omicron reared its ugly and highly transmissible head.

But despite having to postpone our much anticipated farm-themed Christmas hoedown, team spirit at Mr B & Friends has never been stronger. Not only is business continuing to boom, we’ve added five fantastic new faces to our team. Hey Liv, Faye, Luke, Emma and Ali! Not to mention welcomed an old face back – great to have you again Gareth! Our annual all-agency Away Day at the end of September gave us the perfect opportunity to do some team bonding. We spent the day at Clifton Observatory, enjoying a series of mind-expanding workshops, positive business updates and a wow-worthy creative showcase of all the incredible work our team’s produced over the last 12 months. We celebrated star performances in our Mr B Awards Ceremony and enjoyed a Boris-style ‘work meeting’ to follow (see more on our social channels). The wine, cheese and shenanigans did flow.

We’ve shared our expertise far and wide

This year, we’ve been lucky enough to share our brand expertise with a wide range of sectors. From tech and finance to FMCG and charity. We’ve enjoyed working on over 200 projects over the last 12 month with long-term clients, new clients and clients who’ve taken us with them on their career journeys. We’d like to say a big thanks to Sparkol, Situ, Verne Global, Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity, 4Homeopathy, IHG, Britvic, Regina, Business Cyber Centre, Canada Life and Principality Building Society.

We’ve celebrated wins of all kinds

We’ve celebrated outstanding team performances and promotions a plenty, as well as three wins at the Transform awards. Not forgetting, a number of shortlistings in Creative Pool and the Construction Marketing Awards. We’re going to need a bigger trophy cabinet.

We moved into a new home

Since June, we’ve been working from our temporary home at Runway East – where we’ve made tons of new friends and enjoyed taking part in all sorts of fun. We got our shake on at a cocktail masterclass and very nearly brought it home at the Euro’s screenings. But what really got our tails wagging was mini Crufts! It’s been great to have a proper base again and collaborate in real life, whilst still embracing the flexibility of working from home too.

We made a Friends Pact

Everyone’s wellbeing and happiness has been a key focus for us this year, which is why we launched our ‘Friends Pact’ in the summer. Our employee value proposition offers best-in-class commitment to Pay, Play, Performance and Purpose. Including initiatives such as loyalty bonuses, quarterly socials, streamlined performance reviews and a commitment to improving equality within the industry through our Diversity and Inclusion team.

New wins to shout about it

As the year comes to an end, we’re thrilled to have won a bumper number of new clients, which we can’t wait to share with you all in 2022. According to our agency performance guru, this brings us comfortably into double figures for new organisations on our books.

2022? Bring it on

It’s safe to say, we’re finishing the year on a high! We’re buzzing to get stuck into some exciting new briefs in January, fully rested and fully gorged on festive food. Mmm festive food.

So, if you’ve made it this far! We’d like to wish you and your loved ones a very, very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
