Over the last five years, we’ve helped IHG communicate corporate objectives, policies and initiatives to its huge global workforce – in a clear and engaging way. Together, we’ve shifted mindsets, united teams across the world and inspired its people to take action.

InterContinental Hotels Group is a FTSE100 hotel company, with over 5200 hotels worldwide, twelve brands and around 350,000 colleagues. IHG’s mission? To deliver True Hospitality for everyone, whoever and wherever you are in the world.

Strategy, Creative, Digital, Client Services

We supplied a manifesto guide, animations, wall graphics and created an internal microsite, as well as art directing an onsite shoot so that the people were at the heart of the movement.

In 2016, we began work on the creative strategy and theme for IHG Europe Conference 2017 in Berlin. Held bi-anually, over 550 Owners and General Managers from across Europe join forces for a three day event – focused on collaboration and driving progress. With multiple agencies involved in the event, we needed to create an overarching vision that could translate across any medium and carry a consistent message.

To make sure every delegate enjoyed a seamless experience – we created teaser emails, a registration website and all booking and follow-up digital comms. We also designed and developed an interactive iOS and Android ‘companion’ conference app. The app enabled users to check the day’s agenda, plan their schedule and receive push notifications with event reminders.

As one of the largest hotel groups in the world, IHG is committed to doing business responsibly. We’ve teamed up with them to help deliver multiple groundbreaking sustainability initiatives. To help give back to the communities they operate in, every employee at IHG is asked to take part in its annual ‘Giving for Good month’. From volunteering at a beach clean up to helping out at a food bank, any good activity is encouraged. We were tasked to help communicate this to its global workforce.


Our message needed to be universal, so we created a bold visual style using pictograms. For volunteering inspiration we created a digital hub – uniting colleagues from across the world to cheer each other on.

Communicating business objectives to over 400,000 colleagues, all with different skill sets, is no mean feat. We help deliver everything from training videos to its quarterly company magazine, Inside IHG.

In 2017 we helped IHG’s Finance Directors become pioneers of positive change at IHG European Finance Director’s Conference in Amsterdam. In 2018, we got them looking beyond the numbers in Berlin.
