The Mr B & Friends team are kicking ‘Blue Monday’ firmly into touch with the newly launched B-Fit group exercise sessions.
As a company keeping our team mentally fit and healthy is a priority, and the B-Fit programme is the perfect chance for everyone to get together, have fun and benefit from some tailored training.
B-Fit is the second iteration of our team workout sessions, and is set to be as popular as the first. For 18 months we worked out with the brilliant Get Fit At Work team in Bath, but the 10-mile plus warm up from our new Bristol base might have been a bit excessive for even the keenest of us!
Fortunately we’ve found a new kick-ass fitness team to partner with. The Empowered Fitness team, led by Amy Oldfield, are putting us through our paces twice weekly near our office.
“Exercise releases feel-good chemicals in the brain (serotonin and dopamine) which can help to elevate mood, increase productivity, and even reduce depression and anxiety. We often reach for sweet treats or alcohol to help beat the blues, but nothing beats a good workout! We’re looking forward to helping Mr B & Friends smash their January blues out of the park at their training sessions with us.’’
The sessions started last week and run on a Monday and Thursday evening.
