Mr B & Friends has welcomed James Dingle to the client services team. Taking on the role of Senior Client Partner, James is returning to the world of marketing after a six-year diversion into running sustainable restaurants.
James spent nearly two decades working for some of the most recognisable advertising agencies in London and Sydney, including Ogilvy and DDB for companies such as Diageo, McDonalds and Audi. After a brief interlude of living in Cambodia to support his wife who was working on her PhD, the opportunity came up to take over running two ethically-focused restaurants in Bristol and James jumped at the chance.
In the six years that James was at the helm he grew the company from two to five businesses and increased turnover from £2 million to £5 million, while getting to grips with having two children. Phew!
Having achieved a number of successes and accolades for the business, James felt he’d achieved what he’d set out to do and was keen to return to the creativity and energy of working at an agency when he came across Mr B & Friends. His role at Mr B’s will entail him setting up and running our third Pod.
James says, “When I first came into the office it felt like a good culture and the mix of clients and sectors appealed to me. The agency seemed to be going places and the energy and ambition of the team was really apparent from the first meeting.”

Outside of work James likes to get stuck into anything active, whether that’s snowboarding, golf or taking the kids swimming. He’s also the man to know if you need to hail a cab, having perfected an incredibly loud whistle.
