Marcus hits the ground running

The digital team has welcomed another new face, in the form of digital services intern, Marcus Harding, this month.

Marcus clocked Mr B & Friends while researching agencies close to his home town of Bath back in his first year at university and having seen that we’d relocated to Bristol sent us a speculative application ahead of finishing his course. After travelling around America for a couple of months and a stint at Taxcalc, who provide accountancy software, Marcus has joined us for a nine-month placement.

He says, “The friendly and fun impression from the website and how the company seemed to value staff highly alongside being supportive was something I hadn’t seen before. Lots of internships seem to list all the requirements an intern should be able to fulfil as if you’re cheap labour, however Mr B & Friends seemed to be genuinely keen to encourage and develop learning which was very appealing.”

Continuing the theme of the digital team overachieving in the sports field, Marcus is a keen runner and can count a double marathon (54 miles in one day!) across the South Downs among his successes. He likes to balance out the healthy approach with regular visits to his old uni haunts in Portsmouth, clinging on to the student life.
