Have you ever eyed up a company and thought, yeah, I wanna piece of that? Checked out some pics on social media and thought, yup. I’m interested. Tell me more. In this blog series, we’re chatting to the team and getting under the skin of life at Mr B & Friends. Spilling the beans about why we think we’ve got a good thing going on. Because there’s no better time to kiss and tell than February 14th…
Catching the feels
We’ve all been there. Friends with benefits. We all know what happens. It’s going swimmingly. You’ve got the best of both worlds and then before you know it, BAM. You suddenly get feels and want it to become a long-term thing. All too often the feeling’s not mutual. Oh. The. Heartbreak. It was good while it lasted. Can’t these things ever work out?
When it comes to loving your job here, there’s a few things than sweeten the deal. Call it mutually beneficial, call it genuinely caring, call it Employer Brand – whatever. These are the little gestures that’ll make you think, damn. This really COULD be a long-term thing.
But, enough of the small talk already. Let’s get down to business.
Friends with benefits, baby:
We want our team to love where they work. Because good vibes are catching. That’s why we offer the following perks:
1. B Fit – I think we’ll work out.
We believe that in order to do your best work, feel happy and healthy day to day. It’s important to take care of mind, body and soul. That’s why we invest in team gym sessions twice a week to keep our team in tiptop shape. Whether you want to smash some personal goals, get to know a different side to your workmates or challenge our CEO and ECD to a burpee contest, we’ve noticed a huge boost in energy levels, productivity and team spirit since doing this.
2. Quarterly socials – meet my friends?
A chance to let your hair down with friends, partake in the odd team challenge and get out of the office, our quarterly socials are always a key date for the diary. Recent events have included: Locked in a Room, a Mr B street party, Air Hop, Ice Skating, Laser Quest, Bristol Harbourfest and a cracking Christmas ‘do. Safe to say we’re busy B’s. Both a chance to show your hidden talents and have a good laugh, they’ll be the best dates you’ve ever had.
3. Friday drinks – I’m down for that.
There’s nothing quite like that Friday feeling, particularly when you’ve had a busy week. So it’s time to grab a beverage and soak up our Friday Playlist as we wind down to the weekend.
4. Getting fruity every day. Seriously?
You’ll find the office stacked with fresh fruit everyday, to give you the little boost you need when you’re feeling peckish.
5. Flexible hours. You can work from home…(woah ohhhh)
From flexi time with core hours, to working from home once every two weeks, we know that sometimes life gets in the way and you need to be a little bit flexible. We’re cool with that.
6. Discounted shopping – Um, should we split it?
These perks at work include discounted shopping vouchers, whether it be a 241 cinema date, a shop-till-you-drop payday treat or vouchers towards childcare costs.
Can we talk?
We’re DTF. And by that, we mean we’re Down To Financially invest in our team. You see, it’s mutually beneficial. Here’s the thinking behind it all, from Simon our CEO –
“In all seriousness, investing in our team is an absolute priority at Mr B & Friends. Not only do we want to position the agency as one of the region’s best places to work, we also want to look after the well-being of the team as well.”
“The carefully structured benefits package that we have designed has had a huge and positive impact on morale, unity and performance at work, and decreased absenteeism and attrition.”
“Our internal Net Promoter Score is 65% and we have one of the best agency teams I’ve ever witnessed in my 25 years in the industry.”
